Scotch Brand VHB Joining Systems utilise firm acrylic adhesives which have excellent long term holding power.
The peel adhesion and tensile holding power of products in the VHB family are significantly higher than typical pressure sensitive tapes products.
Resistance to solvents, temperature extremes, and ultraviolet light make VHB products suitable for many interior and exterior applications.

Tape 4941 us a conformable, very high bond (VHB) acrylic foam tape which has added performance for bonding to plasticized vinyl due to specially formulated adhesive which resists plasticizer migration. |
In addition, this adhesive composition makes the product well suited to many paints and primers. |
Its improved conformability also allows more complete bond contact area when bonding rigid or irregular materials. |
The product has somewhat lower peel, tensile and shear performance than the other VHB products due to its inherent softness. |
Tape 4941¡¦s principal advantages are that it provides a more uniform seal on irregular surfaces, it may require less application pressure, and in visible bonds under a transparent surface it offers a more aesthetically pleasing bond between non-uniform substrates. |
Tape 4941 is suitable for many interior and exterior industrial applications. |
